Why do Singularities have no effect on rate of Essense Leeching?

You would think Compression would double the rate and Dilation Singularity would cut the rate in half ...

Let me up you one on this: how can you leech essence from.... robotic projections of beings from another dimension? Lore wise it shouldn't be possible me thinks.

You could say the same about a bunch of mechanics relative to specific minor faction pops. There are plenty of mechanics which make little sense but would add nothing to the gameplay outside of excessive micromanagement.

Wait is it possible to leech from systems populated entirely by riftborn population? I always assumed you can't, because there isn't any food to leech in the system.

That is such a rare occurrence that adding information about it in the singularity tooltip might do more harm than good. Then again, I'm not a dev and there are a lot of interactions that are not explained until they happen.
