Can we get an official ES2 map maker? 

I'd be very interested to see what the community would make if given the proper tools. 

It could lead to the discovery of particularly compelling map setups that could perhaps even influence the map generation of future updates.

Sure there's always the cool maps that make a picture, but I'm more interested in user defined strategic puzzle layouts.

If we could define where players spawn, place pirate bases and give minor factions a pre-existing fleet, set up a galactic layout and define the star-lanes... etc. I think some REALLY interesting pieces could come of it all.
