Combat Feedback could use some improvement

I've had some trouble really understanding how ES2 combat works, finding the after-action breakdown screen has helped in some respects, but also been a point of frustration in others. For instance, in this screenshot here I'm pretty sure that all of the missiles my behemoth fired during combat were shot down... but none of that information is displayed. While the other side displays missed shots, mine just displays nothing.



So blue side's damage dealt is 0, but green side's damage recieved is 59k? Green side doesn't have damage dealt displayed, whereas it's blue who recieved damage and was destroyed. This in itself seems confusing or just plain wrong.


It seems like a bit of an oversight to include missed shots but not shot-down/intercepted shots in a total. This screenshot also presents some confusion to the player, since it's unclear if the behemoth just didn't fire during combat (it IS a science behemoth) or if it did and the combat stats are a little bugged. The odd mix-up of Damage Dealt/Recieved further muddies what's going on under the hood in my mind, at least.

The tooltips are to be read from the player's point of view.

"Total Effective Damage Received" should be read as "Total Damage I (the Blue Player) Received From the enemy (the green player)"


I am not sure how the after battle report treats intercepted shots, though.

I see now, tooltips being read from the player's PoV makes sense. Maybe it would be more immediately clear to slip a "you" or "Your fleet" in there as opposed to just "Fleet received"?
