Hi, I kinda already posted about this on the reddit, in more of a "am I missing something obvious here?" and got some feedback about my issue...tl;dr: I wondered why we couldn't scrap behemoths or any of their forms, a user pointed out some good reasons why it would be cheap if we could just instantly scrap them, but I'm still left with the issue that I'm stuck with Citadels from conquered planets I don't want counting against my cap that I can't do anything about, and it also kinda breaks the immserion for me that a mighty and powerful race of mezoamerican birb samurai can't destroy one of their own ships...

(I also hated that during the Hissho quest I had to build an Obliterator, but I didn't want to keep it - I personally find destroying planets to be abhorrent and against every fibre of my being, both IRL and in 4X games - but realized no such option existed; I had to gently push it into enemy space and wait like 40 turns for someone to FINALLY destroy it...)

So I throw myself at the mercy of the devs to ask: Is there some way to implement a way to dismantle behemoths? It wouldn't be instant; I'm picturing something like how citadels work now, where it takes a few turns to "build" (or in this case un-build). During this time, the behemoth wouldn't serve any purpose; no bonuses to FIDSI etc. would be accrued, no actions could be taken, it can't attack or defend itself (or move, obviously) and citadels wouldn't provide any of their bonuses to defense.

But an enemy fleet with weapons could still attack an un-escorted behemoth & automatically destroy it as if it were a civilian vessel. And until the behemoth finished dismantling, it would still count against your behemoth cap. Also, for the purposes of balance, I'd be OK with there being nothing to reclaim once dismantling was complete (no Dust/Industry). I just want the darn things GONE.

I may be making a mountain of a molehill from some people's perspective, but I was in the middle of a MASSIVE game against a bunch of AI, partially to test out my new computer rig and partially to slake my thirst for spreading across the galaxy like a cancer, and when I realized the enemy I was in the middle of creeping over was building lots of citadels & I would be stuck with them, it kinda killed my enthusiasm to continue; I haven't booted ES2 back up since.

Thanks to butthole_expert (if I had a nickel for every time I said that...) for their feedback in my reddit thread as to why just scrapping the things like normal was maybe not the best.
