I don't know if this is more of a suggestion or a prediction, but between the addition of stealth & the Academy becoming a proper faction- it kind of feels inevitable that at some point the Pirate League are going to have a hidden central fortress somewhere in the galaxy that you have to track down and get rid of (or not, assuming you're cool paying them off every turn).
