Currently the Behemoths always have the same, United Empire -style skin.

Would love them to be faction specific. Just like the other ships.

Already been asked of the devs. Too much work to redo each one for each faction. So they currently have a theme which is Endless...since thats where they come from. Not UE.

You do know how many races there are currently in the game right? That's not $1.99 DLC. Since every race would need to have 3 models done for the regular Behemoth and the Juggernaut and Obliterator variants.

Sure I would buy it...but its not 1.99 work by any stretch of the imagination. Also...Behemoths are Endless tech.

That's 12 textures. Yeah, it's a two-dollar DLC material. Problem is, Amplitude stated they aren't interested in making additional content for content already behind of paywall. This is why Hissho, Vaulters and Nakalim will not receive alternative fleet skin either.

So why don't you do it and mod it in? Its barely a 2 dollar DLC right? Shouldn't be hard at all. Show us all how its done and how easy it really is.

Your sarcasm is inapproriate, I'm not 2D artist and I have little interest in such endevour, nor am I obliged to prove or show you anything. I also didn't say it's "easy", rather it's easier then creating 36 new models and animating them. It's just a reskin plus some code to point game to new texture , the most common modification I can imagine in games. If you don't take my word on that, try asking author of this mod:

Are we talking a colors mod or actual different models for each faction? Because one is way easier than the next. Actual individual models for each faction is not as trivial as recoloring the Behemoths.

If you're doing a DLC to charge people you would want each Behemoth to reflect the styles and ship models of each faction. That means a wildly different Umbral Choir behemoth from an Unfallen behemoth.  That is not a 'little bit' of work.

The OP said and I quote:

"Currently the Behemoths always have the same, United Empire -style skin.

Which is why I made the statement I did. A colors mod is not a faction style mod.

Different models whould not make sence, because it's technology of Endless, meaning design should stay the same. Different textures to reflect different materials that factions use in their ship-building though would suffice. That still qualifies as skin.

And that is why we don't have differing models/skins for each faction because some people would be happy with a superficial colors mod and some people would want to have entire models dedicated to them in the styles of the faction ships.

So I guess peope will have to be happy with the colors mods you pointed out for Behemoths. They are peices of Endless tech...assume that they can only be built in one way and leave it at that.

I could create skins for Hissho/Nakalim/Vaulters/Umbral Chior alt modes. I could reskin the Behemoths, I could possibly even remodel them. I cant code for shit though so i havnt even bothered trying. Id like to see a mod that allows you to assign alternative skins to the ai's in game too, especially when duplicates are in game the second skin should be used. I think changing these things is quite small for a company, a lot of work for a man though, especialy one thats not being paid. I agree with the $ 2DLC idea. Amplitude are farming out their expansions to third parties anyway, just make them do it and name their price? I dont see the problem

Just bought this game (and have been addicted, finishing three games this first week). The color pallette of the behemoths has been the only nitpicky thing that annoys me. I would gladly pay ~5-10$ for a dlc that just reskinned them to be faction specific.

Until then, I'll have to thank "Slashman" for letting me know the theme is ancient "Endless" colored.  I didn't know that, and it makes me a bit less annoyed at the current red behemoths, that just stick out so poorly.

The mod grey heroes, and grey behemoth in the steam workshop is quite nice :)

You can choose between white or grey/blackish heroes.

Behemoths are grey/dark
