Don't get me wrong I like ES2, i don't need the Super Tech Tree Lore  

But they sure did abandon and outsource an almost perfect game.

I'm curious..were you also working for a publisher? And was your artwork such that no single person could person make it alone in a reasonable time? Did it have to be tested and pass through a lengthy QA process? And were you constrained by the fact that you could only work on one piece at a time and that your time spent on something that was not directly profitable was also detrimental to your business and caused your publisher (the person who is paying the bills) to get angsty?
