Decrease Isyander Spear duration

Good evening strategists! I read in a thread in the forum that "Isyander Spear lasts for 20 turns". People keep complaining that the fleet is overpower. What if the developers decrease the fleet duration to 7~10 turns? Can anyone please explain me if that would "fix" the highlighted problem?

It wouldnt fix it because the time is based off of the duration of role assignment is shared with all roles, this would just double the rate im which roles are assigned. The problem with the ships is that you're getting fourth stage ships at stage one.

I know some people were trying to mod the game so that either the fleet didnt exist or wasn't nearly so strong in the early game, but from what they were saying the whole Awakening expansion is coded in a much different way than the rest and much harder to mod.

Both the ESG mod and tygart’s Academy Nerf mod fix the mess that is Awakening Isyander.  As a Vaulter player, having the Academy constantly take Auriga pissed me off.

Removing the fleet wouldn't be possible, because it takes the best academy fleet available and gives it to the player.

I'd love to watch an exposé on what happened with the Awakening DLC. No judgement. No angst. Just grab a big bowl of popcorn, kick the legs up, and just grin at what in the world played out with that one. It is the nuttiest DLC.

How about just a big nerf to its manpower capacity. Having a dominant fleet wouldn't be so over powered if it can't single-handedly take over 10 systems with the free manpower. Its only even an issue at the first grant, after that its fine I felt.

Ive used small ships only in a desperate run to destroy the Academy Master fleet and i did so with no losses, and this was during the first academy ''quest'' and I even had a smaller CP fleet.. Also play with the Academy as endless difficulty.

Theyre not op and you can easily counter them if u know what youre doing and when to do what needs to be done lol it makes up for a challenge and may make you have to alter your strategy. 


IMO the only issue with the Academyt faction is the inability for Vodyani to capture the academy home system and the blockade of systems resources etc when their ships patrol ur systems even if youre on good terms with the Academy. 

For the Vodyani issue I no longer play with the Awakening dlc.
