my idea is like. a galaxy map editor? i've barely ever played endless space 1 despite me having it, but apparently it had some kind of editor?

anyways, my idea is that one should exist for ES2 because like. i got annoyed by re-rolling things too many times. i wanna meet the xirmisala.... why does the game forbid me from meeting them unless they don't have a minor faction /j (i know it's RNG but still.)

like my ideas are. basically you could sort of have a base galaxy? think a randomly generated one, or like one you have a seed for but you wanna refine it and hone it into your own thing. the base would determine galaxy "appearance" and you could just make the galaxy's systems look like a smiley face while it technically has the appearance of a two-arm spiral galaxy

and then you could edit the systems and stuff, and plop minor factions around, etc. for example what i wanna do is put the xirmisala, kal'tik'ma, and remnants next to me when i'm playing as the nakalim to sorta fit in with their lore, because the xirmisala start off as the nakalim's first minor faction pop and the nakalim also have a kal'tik'ma and remnant hero, both of whom are considered nakalim, so maybe they're relatively close to sobra? i'd also place the slot the nakalim have near the core because i'm a dirty cheater. oh and also it'd kinda fit for them to be relatively close to the academy
