First of all hello to very body.

I haven´t played Endless Space, so Part 2 is my first game. My knowledge to play the game I have taken from lets play´s mainly from Nosferatiel with WB. I have played some start sectioned parties to around turn 40 (with all fractions) and one to the end with the Voydani (turn 126). Now I have start a new one with the 0.1.3. So much to my Endless Space expierience.

Now some things I do not understand or dont know if the game isn´t on a point where the devfocus is on it. I know it´s a alpha and the work is on progress. So I would see which of my problems could be cleared and which could be a point to discussed.

1.)

Peace negotiations: After a some turns suddenly comes a diplomacy notice that the faction admit his defeat. It is not foreseeable when it comes. Futhermore, why

I as the winner can not determine the peace contract? So when I would to wipe someone out I couldn´t do that because of the insant about of the war actions and after 12 turns a faction like the Lumeris could compensate them.

2.)

The "advanced diplomacy" research (Tech II or III) which options comes with this reseach I couldn´t find any.

3.)

Could I see anywhere how many troops will be uploaded each turn in the spaceships?

4.)

Satisfaction of population: what acts to this I have some times a system where spawnes a revolution I dont understand why and what I could do against this.

5.)

In 0.1.2 it gaves a system overview ( I think it was in the goverment options) why it was removed.  For big empires it is very useful.

6.)

The battlesystem, first I like the basic Idea from that it is some one fresh new system. Only some points could be improved.

a) the long tactic is often in the early gamephase with the standard kinetic weapons (mid and short) better then the other (althought the Info tells you 0%) because of the crossing T makes more weapon effect

b) with the closerange tactic choice (100%) the opponents beginn after 2/3 of the time to fire.

c) with two or more fleets the tactics are some times realy useless one get in close combat ( the ships with mid and long weapons) and the secound (short weapons) flights up away from the battle

d) it would be very usefull if youself could choose the ships which comes in the teams I, II and/or III during the battle preperations

7.)

With the Voydani, when I draining life force from minor factions a get the full draining capacity. When I draining from a major Faction ( they have assimilate the minor faction befor) at war I have become only 200 live force from them, befor it was over 600. Why this difference.

8.)

Some times the battle movie is canceled I see the normaly galaxiemap the battlesound is still to hear and I couldn´t click anything in the the galaxymap I have to wait until the battle is over than the battleresult screen pops up and all is good. I would only ask if this happend by anyone even so, or if I have to search the reason by my PC or graficcard.

Okay this should be enought for the beginning.

This is the current implementation of the Forced Truce mechanic. When you have a war with another faction you begin a tug of war. The way it works is that it generates a score based on how many ships and systems you have lost against the other party. It does the same for you opponent. The two scores are continuously compared to see who is "winning" and who is "loosing ". If either side is either loosing or winning by enough the option to force a truce is unlocked. If either side uses the option to force truce (the AI will do so as soon as it can) , a truce is forcefully enacted and the looser will pay the winner some calculated reparations. You can monitor who is currently winning or loosing by inspecting the diplomacy screen. There is a bar for each other faction you know. If you are at war with another faction the bar will indicate how far you are from unlocking the forced truce option by filling up with either blue(winning) or red (loosing).

This mechanic will be modified with the next update of the game. You can read more about the upcoming change in this post by Dev adelahaye.

There has been a lot of discussion about this mechanic as many have found it to be problematic to put it mildly ;)

It still is in the game although it is not easy to find ;)

It is hidden away in the Economy Screen see below:

Okay I have not notice the fulling of the bar in the diplomacy chapter. Good to now that there is a indicator for the progress.
