Just getting started with Endless Space 2. My question pertains to the difficulty of dealing with space pirates early on. My scout ships keep getting destroyed while exploring. Is there any way to adjust the game settings so that pirates aren't so powerful early on?

in the final game you definitv are able to adjust pirates. I think it is quite important @ ES 2 to have some early fleet present to deal with it. You need those anyway to protect your outposts.
