The Amount of luxury resource types that generate depend on what size galaxy is chosen.

First there are 3 types of luxury resources Common, Uncommon and rare (this determines when their curiosity’s can be found/explored and what row they are on in the economy / system development screens. There is 8 of each type.

The Settings are in "%Install Folder%\Endless Space 2\Public\Settings\WorldSettingDefinitions.xml" if you want to edit them (to 8, 8, 8 or whatever)
