I'm a little experienced with the game by now (15 games), and I tried a "endless" difficulty for my current game.

Everything is a bit harder but I can handle it, until...

At some point, I had a space combat with another faction (AI), then when the combat was loading I saw the AI had 1 dummy ship in middle lane, and the rest in bottom lane. Well, I though the my bottom lane would be crushed, but I would end victourious when my middle lane engage his bottom lane. That did not happen. What happened is his bottom lane attacked my middle lane and my middle lane wasn't even retailiating at all (I had ships full of missiles/kinetic/energy so that's not a problem of distance) despite the fact my middle lane already crushed the dummy ship.

What is the problem ?

So far, before battle, I was checking the opponent forces and choosing a tactic (close/middle/far) accordinely. Now, I'm even don't know if tactic is revelant, and if all I should do is put a dummy ship in middle lane and the rest in bottom lane...

It seems I didn't figure well the combat mechanics after all and any help would be appreciated.

Had this happen the other day to me as well. The problem I think is that lane 3 comes in behind the other 2 lanes. The turrets I think can only rotate 270 degrees meaning they can not attack the ships in lane 3, because Lane 3 is behind your middle lane. Lane 3 consequently gets easy go at your ships with no retaliation.
