I picked this option. I own 5 star systems that have various good/bad anomalies in them but the quest objective is still 0/2. How do I get credit for this objective? Is it bugged? I can't even get past the first story quest... :(

It only counts Anomalies on planets you have colonised.

I just double checked my save. I have 2 colonised planets that have 1 anomaly each yet the counter is 0/2.

it probably starts counting the anomalies colonized from the moment you start the quest. I had a Riftborn quest to assign the hero you get from the previous quest to a fleet of certain power and I didn't get the quest completed when I had the requirement completed when I started the quest... turned out I needed to assign/reassign the hero.

The Unfallen quest probably recounts the anomalies when you colonize a planet with an anomaly.

Hopefully it's not too terrible to resurrect this.  Was this ever confirmed a bug?  This is happening in one of my games.  I colonized a planet with 2 anomalies after starting this quest but it still doesn't count.

For what it's worth, I believe that I did have vines around the system before starting the quest.
