What exactly is "FRIENDLY" major faction? - clearify differently for @peace and @alliance

Off and on I did sometimes try to intrigue myself with the "per major friendly faction" mechanics.

Here's what I observed - peace I guess means USUALLY friendly.

Fortunately there now is a tooltip for friendly faction related building bonuses in system screens. Which is nice.

Yesterday I played a game with Unfallen stacking 5 AIs at peace to my side... and I would actually lose ground combat battles on even tech level, you know like 50 tanks vs 50 tanks both max upgraded (oh and going full max upgraded airplanes I would LOSE ofc), yeah that would be a draw at best. Sure there are some upgrades on the ground that could make it harder but I should have +50% dmg, right? Well, I am not sure, cause there is no way to actually track those bonuses they did not seem to be in effect.

Sure the unfallen OP tech effect +15% per major friendly faction can be easily observed since it's empire wide modifier and it shows under empire wide dust and science production, however the rest is difficult to track.

Mutual understanding is a ridiculously strong trait, but does is scale of peace or do I need and alliance? Who is to tell?

In addition to their formal War/Cold War/Peace/Alliance status, each AI has an attitude towards you: Hostile/Wary/Surprised/Welcoming/Sneaky/Safe/Friendly, plus maybe a few that I'm forgetting. It shows up a few places in the various diplomacy screens and popups, and the Ai usually sends you a message when it changes. As a general rule, the Ai switches to Friendly after several turns of peace, although there are circumstances where it won't. For instance, if it thinks you're weak and is planning to break the peace and invade, it will go Sneaky.
