So, As I'm playing I notice that I can only travel about 20% of my map. At this point all of links to other systems are known and I can't go anywhere new but I only see about 20% of the entire map. I can use probes to see some new stuff but I can't colonize them or do anything meaning full. Is there something I'm missing or did my game kinda screw me over with RND god?

You need to discover the technology that unlocks wormholes. Think it's autonomous materials in the science quadrant 3rd stage
