I just recently picked up Endless Space 2, so I'm sure this is something simple that I'm missing, however, this seems super bizarre. I've noticed that, without having actually found a system or race with the resource, I will get a popup stating that I've discovered a new luxury resource. As an example, I discovered Gossamer on turn one of a game I recently started. Yet, none of the planets on my starting system have Gossamer on them, and I obviously don't have the marketplace unlocked.

What is causing this to happen? Is it just a galaxy-wide thing when any race discovers a luxury resource? I'm doubtful of that, as I believe I've had undiscovered resources that were uncovered upon meeting new races, but what do I know?
