Help, no clue how I got this Guardian! For free it seems?

I really got no clue.

I play as the Lumeris and below is my planet Ykima I at the end of Turn 28. It holds 2 Lumeris pops now and another one is supposed to grow 5 Turns later. So far, so good.

However on Turn 29 I suddenly also have 1 Guardian on Yikima I. There was no event, no announcement or anything else indicating that this will happen. To be honest: I only noticed it was there on Turn 32 and then backtracked the Autosaves to find out when it ... arrived ... for lack of a better term.

Is this normal? Do Guardians just appear like this, unannounced and sudden? Or did it run away somewhere? Is perhaps any of you guys missing one? I can send it back - but I am not paying for shipping!

Or: Is this some kind of bug and I better put this in the matching sub forum there?

Most posdible explanation is that an Unfallen ship explored a curiosity. on yr system and departed. Sadly I haven't the tools to check it.

Yes this is normal if you have an unfallen player nearby. They have a chance to reveal gaurdian population on planets when they search curiosities as mentioned above. There are not any other ways I am aware of of this happening.

Curious that no notification was given. Probably should have one. Check your save file for an Unfallen scout ship that may have done a flyby onnyour system on turn 29. That is almost certainly the cause.
