Hi everybody . I'm making a mod to fix the translation. Need help indicating information about the population in the systems. The game in some places incorrectly translated into my language and I and all my fellow countrymen can't understand the meaning of a ring with white, grey and black zones around the systems when you include details about the systems. Even native English speakers couldn't answer me. Different systems have different amounts of these gray, white and black zones. What they show is not clear, reference material on this issue I could not find anywhere.

Hey Jim,

I'm sorry I did not get back to you sooner. I saw you asking about this on Discord as well, but I wanted to doublecheck that the information I give you is correct.

The bar as a whole (the thick and thin parts taken together) represents the maximum population capacity of you colonized planets in this system. (I believe a full circle is a population value of 60, but I am not completely sure on that one.) EDIT: Checked again. The full circle is a capacity of 70.

The thick part of the bar represents the current amount of population in the system You can also see the ratip of population to space displayed as the percentage at the top. This thick part of the bar is subdivided into the white and light gray areas to show the different types of population on the system.

I don't speak English. I use an automatic translator, did not quite understand about the black circle.

Could you repeat all this once again in a more simplified and understandable form for an automatic translator?)

The black circle is the absolute reference point. No star system in ES2 can ever hold more than 60 population. The narrow grey bar shows how much of that absolute capacity you can reach with your currently colonized planets and upgrades.

For example: In this picture, the system can currently have 16 population at most, which is why the narrow grey bar fills a little less than a fourth of the black circle (16/70=~0.23). Of those 16 population slots, 8 are filled, which is why the thick part of the bar is half as long as the thin part, and the label at the top says "50% population). The system also has 1 Vaulter, 2 Pulsos, and 13 Sophon, which is why it shows one large section of light grey (representing the sophon), and two narrow sections of white (the Vaulter and Pulsos).

I hope this helps.
