„Chance to increment” is negative - Minor factions

In my game with Unfallen every minor faction have "chance to increment" at -50 (see screenshot). That leads to the situation that only base faction is growing (with +50) and I don't have any chance to become new minor population. Investing in luxury to improve growing of a minor faction leads to double the -50 value with the result of -100. Is there any chance to become the "chance to increment" positive? What is the mechanic of this feature?

Today when playing Lumeries I got the same problem -50 / -100 for minor factions. This is realy dissapointing.

Hi, the problem is solved :) The law "Species Stability" is for this issue responsible. Look here:


 


Only your starting Population can incease and the code generate in this case negative values for  "chance to increment". Greate, now can I play further without thinking about this strange thing :)

Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. I unfortunately had to put this aside in favor of the preparation for the upcoming DLC release. Glad to hear you found the source of it, though.

Problem isn't solved. You'd expect malus to be lifted when law is disabled, but it stays at nagative chance number and slowly crumbles back, allowing only for one pop type to increase for a prolonged time.

You are right. The main problem I had is solved but not the mechanic of this law. When you had the law 10 turns and after removing the law you have to wait another 10 turns to get new population of minor faction, that is very strange and reduce the value of this feature :(


The good solution will be to start again at zero points after removing the "Species Stability Act". The devs have now 2 days time to implement it before new DLC come ;)

Sorry I wasn't clear: The confusion over where that number came from is solved. Of course current chance to increment should not be negative.
