Squadron support modules on support ships?

Strike Multiplier and Squadron Shifter modules are availible for small support ship, but this ship can not have any squadrons. 

1. Does it means, that these modules will give bonuses to sqadrons from other ships? 

2. If 1 is positive, are these bonuses stack if I put to similar modules on one support ship?

3. If 1 is positive, are these bonuses work to the same flotilla or to the whole fleet? 


If all this positive, then it is better to have 1 small support ship with squadron bonus modules and not install them on carriers, because it is better to have more defenses/guns/squadrons in those expensive big slots, right?

Squadron-related modules work on per ship they are installed basis only, so it's a "no" to all three questions. It was originally planned, that small ships could have squadrons too, some even still have gate opening animation to their hangar. As a consequence, squadron support modules can still be equipped there by oversight. You should'nt do that in practice, as this is a waste.

Well then I do not understand, why devs don`t remove these modules from options for the small ships...

You seem to be really embarassed lately. Even though I'd want some healthy changes for the game as well, I guess there is no need to be that provocative..

And you are quite right. 

I like the design of ES2 very much. But I was very disappointed in ES2 as a 4x strategy game. Thus for me it is like a nice comic book about 4x strategy game. 

Wich I play occasionally after each new patch in hope that it has been evolutioned in to a real game. 


To play the game you have to know the rules. But in ES2 this process is very tedious. There is no no way to read all the rules in one place. It is searching, investgation, scavenging... each time I have a question "How does it really works?". And this topic is one of the hundreds examples. 

So I drop this game for months, wait for a new patch, play, disappointed, rinse and repeat.

That is why I have bought all DLC`s only in 2020, when I got a huge NY discount. Just for a collection reasons. Because all this time I wasn`t ready to meet all those new bugs, and spend a lot of time for investigations. Yeah, that is my personal problem - I just don`t like to play the game if  I don`t know all the rules.
