So I have been playing for a couple of weeks and lately I have noticed that from time to time I just lose systems. No attacks, no blockades, populations rising, approval estatic and then I get a message that one of my heroes needs and assignment and a system has gone. Last night I lost between 5-7 in the time that I played and it is getting annoying. I never lose my home system and I have been checking food, populations and approval to make sure they are not just turning traitor, but the funny thing is if I recolonize the lost system all of the improvements that I had built are gone, like I was never there. I am at a loss, can anyone advise me please?

I guess your systems could be affected by pacific conversion - the only way to peacefully conquer a system (except trading via diplomacy). Were those systems covered with influence circles of AI competitors? Also you can try to enable all notifications if you have them switched off.

Do you play as Unfallen? They tend to lose systems that are cut off from the vines network.

Nope, not unfallen. It has happened with the vaulters and other races I have played but no unfallen yet. No other races in view so no other influence circles. I thought maybe people were dying out so I have been watching the population closely, all have been rising. Tons of buildings are all lost, the other night I had 8 good systems going and lost 4 in one turn. I am at a loss, perhaps I am bugged. 

Did you accidentally queue the Vacate System "improvement"? That one is basically just razing your system. You may have done it, by accident, while queueing buildings.

The vacate system improvement actually vacates the system and doesn't build the ability to do so?????  If that is the case then that is it, Eureka!!!!!! Thanks ever so much, I thought it provided you with the ability to vacate the system, not actually do it. Problem solved, DOH!!!!
