Behemoth with advanced climate engeneer module 120*5 per each to terraformation. That makes 120x5 =600 per each.

1B can terraform standart (2000) planet in 4 turns. 2000/600=3.33. That is I understand

2B can terraform standart planet in 3 turns. 2000/1200=1.66 less than 2. Error!

3B can terraform standart planet in 2 turns. 2000/1800=1.11. Ok.

4B can terraform standart planet in 2 turns. 2000/2400=0.83 less than 1. Error!

So. where my math is wrong or why 4x600-Behemoths with 2400 industry can not terraform one 2000-cost planet in one turn?

Reproduce: go to system galtur. There is 4 such behemoth. and arid planet that could be terraformed to jungle.

System:

Win7x64. Core i5 4.3 GHz. 16gb RAM. SSD.

Save:

UC-10.sav

I think Terraformation takes round number of turns + 1 turn.

1B can terraform standart (2000) planet in 4 turns. 2000/600=3.33+1=4.33, round up = 5! but not 4 as it is.

That would be too easy. No, no, no - the equation is much trickier, bro :)

I didn't say round up, I said round to nearest integer.

Wow, that actually fits. Well done! Maybe you get the equation used in the game.

But still I would like to know, what is the reason to make this so unclear for players. Why Devs wanted to confuse players?

If they wanted to make terraformation longer they just could make that module less effective. Like 100 industry instead 120.

That would be nice to hear an answer from devs.

Suddenly - not fits again. I`ve met an ash planet - 512 industry to terraform in to desert. 1B with 5x Advanced 120i modules (total=600) terraforms this planet in ONE turn.

The same applies to all planets with price 1000 and less. If Behemoth`s industry power is enough to cover this price, then only one turn to finish. Not 1+1.

Thus, from my humble math point of view, the equation is a little bit weirder :)

Please, Developers give us a hand here!

Looked through XMLs, the action has a line 'SecondaryFleetProductionMultiplier="0.5"'. So I guess if its two identical behemoths its 1.5x production towards terraforming instead of 2x?

Thank you very much for help! That`s explains everything. Then 6 max-Behemoths = 600+300*5=2100 industry.

Just tested it in the game - 6 max-Behemoths terraform 2000-planet in 1 turn! Cool!

And you know Sublustris, you are stealing the bread from Amplitude support service! They owe you now ))))

Well, then I just don`t understand one thing - what is the reason of making in the game multipliers hidden from common players, who can not dig into the game files.
