This is start of the game (Turn 2). Why are my two Nakalim pops giving me +4 approval on Sobra?



I did give them their booster so the Naka pop is giving me +4 Food/ +4 Approval on planet with Temple of the Lost (which I have no Temple of the Lost currently, of course). But I don't see how the booster is relevant anyway.

Unless the booster is bypassing the "Temple of the Lost" condition, which it shouldn't be.

Ha! That is it. The booster to the population is bypassing the "on Planet with Temple to the Lost" condition. So the first +2 approval doesn't apply (correctly), but the additional booster +2 does (incorrectly). Awakening!

Maybe all boosters work this way and bypass any original conditions, and I've just never noticed. I doubt that is intentional though.
