I've recently completed the faction quest for the Cravers and from the description and the reward for siding with the virtual endless and conquer a set number of planets that the Cravers are to become "wasps"~ Completely cybernetic organism that can be controlled at anytime by the virtual endless. 

I am not entirely sure what that means; Should all of my Cravers pops turned into wasps? Is this a bug, or did I miss some type of reward or choose an ending to the quest that simply did not yield anything?

From what I can tell, most of that is just window dressing, yeah. Faction quests seem to have been toned down a lot compared to Endless Legend. Though that's the only one I've seen.
