EDIT 2:  Fixed the problem!  Anyone with a machine that has two graphics cards must, must, must, select manually the better card using the control panel.  For me it was the NVidia control panel, but for Radeon users it is likely different.  Restart the machine.  If it still crashes, download new drivers and then restart.

Hello,

I just bought and downloaded the game last night and upon starting it up this morning I realized that there are no menu options on the home screen, like this:

I use a laptop with Intel Graphics Processor 530 and a NVidia GTX 960m for games.  I have tried running Endless Space 2 as an administrator, and the only things that changes is that it crashes just after the loading bar fills up.  I have also tried the "Run with graphics processor " option directly from the Steam files, but again that just makes the game crash once the loading bar fills up.

I ran DXDiag to get info on my system and GPU, here is what came up for the Intel card:

I have had a great experience with other Amplitude Products (Endless Space and Endless Legend both run great on this computer), and I trust that you will be able to help me with my problem.  Thanks!

EDIT:  OK, so I have updated my NVidia drivers and set it to the default for this game using the NVidia control panel but......now the game crashes at this point on the loading screen everytime.  I will continue to look through the forums and will update this post as I try to fix the problem.
