Intel cards aren't officially supported so I don't think they're spending resources addressing issues on Intel cards

That seems kind of shisty what about all the people that want to play the game but don't want to buy a new laptop to play it on?

Many games don't support Intel chipsets. That's up to each developer to decide what minimum requirments can or cannot be met.
