I get a rose screen every time I boot the game, from the logo cinematic & the splash screen, to what I suppose is the main menu.

I didn't try to go farther, seemed like a waste of time to me.

Hello there,

I have the same problem, a bright rose screen at launch since the Rift update. I hear the game launch, and then pink screen and crash some time later.

I tried to fiddle but to no avail, the machine won't bargain.

Here I upload the report of the crash

crash.dm

perror.log

output_log.txt

I am a little sad but at least the screen is pink and not black.

Can you try deleting the file

My Documents\Endless Space 2\Users\<numbers>\Registry.xml

And start the game

Also do you have any command line options in the Steam launcher for the game?

Did that, no changes.

I've seen a few other reports of the game not triggering the DX11 rendering pipeline

Can you go into steam

Endless Space 2-> Right click->Properties

General->Set Launch Options

-force-d3d11

Well I installed the update but to no avail, I 'm still stuck with the same screen.

Here's the dxdiag log and crash report : http://www.mediafire.com/file/gecd5g8oye0kzrm/dump%26dxdiag.rar

Thanks anyway.

EDIT : reading throught the dump, it seems like the renderer (tries to) start on the integrated GPU instead of the  GT630M, I 'm pretty sure that was the first thing I looked into, I 'll check again...

EDIT2: nah, it's configured to use the GT.

Did you run the relevant Win7 update and reboot. It really needs a reboot to take

Yes.

the logs indicate teh game is still using the Intel HD3000 which is definitely not DX11 complaint so it's going to barf

I would delete your existing configuration in the Nvidia Control Panel. Then manually create a new one to force your Nvidia card.

Yeah, I know but no need, it was my mistake, I needed to install a previous update first before the one with the fix.

I can run the game okay now. Thanks for the help
