I can't get past the initial loading screen; the loading bar fills all the way and then nothing will happen. I've gone in the registry file and changed the quality from beautiful to good and uninstalled and reinstalled the game but neither seem to make a difference.

Also, have you tried running the game in DX10 mode? Simply type dx10 in the command line options of the game in Steam.

The DX10 command made it so i can get to the main menu now, but then I went to start a new game and clicked beginner then the game began to load and stopped about 3/4 of the way and I could hear a speech being made but I was still stuck on the load screen.

I do not see anything that feels terribly wrong in that log. I have you tried running with the "-novideo" option as well? Maybe it has something to do with the movie playback.

Can you also attach your output_log.txt file? It is located in your steam install, something like : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Endless Space 2\EndlessSpace2_Data
