Dear Support,

I have found that over the last 2-3 days I have been unable to load ES2 on my laptop.

I have tried the following after reading several posts:

• Run as admin 
• Run under win 7 compatibility
• Change Beautiful to Good
• Make sure that Nvidia is the Graphics card running the game
• Exclude the game folder from AntiVirus
• add dx10 as a startup parameter
• verify game files
• reinstall
• reinstall all that is in the _Commonredist folder

I am at my wits end now...

Any further insight into the issue would be greatly appreciated.

Here are some useful files, the load on the 1st was when I thought I had cracked the problem, but then when I sat down to play a proper game later in the day the hang on startup reoccured.

Can you delete the registry.xml file instead

Also I would remove and readd the game into your Nvidia Control Panel as it can get into a weird state

Also please upload one of the Diagnostic files as well

Deleting the registry.xml file worked for a few games, but now the game once again refuses to load.

There is no registry.xml under my documents, and it is not recreated when I attempt to load ES2.

I am begining to think this is an issue with offline files.

I can start the game successfully from a local user account but not from a domain account.

Does your domain account have any weird/special/odd characters in it? Its possible the special characters are causing issues. 

ANother possiblity is that the domain account is having permissions issues on the folder, you can try to run steam as an admin which should fix those permissions issues
