Me and my girlfriend are experiencing terrible multiplayer issues. Since we bought this game we have not been able to play together at all. We have no anti virus turned on, and we even tried with computers connected through LAN. 

When in the lobby, her computer does not recognize my faction.

When in the game, initially there is a huge delay between her actions and it registering ingame.  

Then maybe on the second turn, she drops from the game with an error 0x0004/4

If she hosts the symptoms are reversed and I experience the delay and disconnect instead.

To investigate this problem we're going to need:

- Your DxDiag

- You Diagnostics

- Your Output logs 

- And potential desync dumps if there are any

If you could give us these files from both sides (and tell us who was hosting the game for which the files are) that would be very helpful :)
