I can start ES2 on my windows 10 pc, but I can't seem to do that on my laptop. It loads the sega and amplitude animations fine, then loads the ES2 logo loading screen. During this time I can alt tab back and forth. When the loading is done, the image freezes, the music begins to play, and if I alt-tab out, I can't alt-tab back.

It's an Extensa 2511 laptop, from Acer. I tried updating the chipset drivers, but that did nothing noticible. I had the same results with windows 7 and 8 compatibilty mode, as well as open with admin rights. 

Can you upload the ouput_log.txt and dxdiag from your system

1) ensure you have hte latest vide drivers for your video card

2) if you have an AMD/Nvidia video card on your laptop ensure you are forcing the game to use that via the AMD CCC or the Nvidia Control Panel

3) Update and 3rd party codecs or video players such as K-lite Codec Pack or SImple Media player
