Endless Space 2 is launching, connects to Steam, etc… reach the loading screen, loads the game until the bar is full, music starts and nothing happens anymore… I cannot reach the main menu. No error message. I used to play the game on this computer meaning that it is a not a new installation.

I am not sure which version I am playing since I cannot reach the main menu anymore…
Notes
Checked the integrity of local files, then tried to uninstall and re-install through Steam (including deleting all local files on my laptop).
Tried to change several settings with my video card as per other thread mentioned in the forum and no effect.
Return to a prior version (which I know the game has been running with) of my video card (GeForce904M) driver as there has been an update lately but no use.
