I got the deluxe Edition of ES2 recently through the Steam Sale. Yet, when I checked out the soundtrack, only the last 8 songs or something where there. A bunch were missing. Any ideas? Thanks!

Try reverifying your game cache

But for the base game I think the OST contains like 15 tracks, the other tracks are added in various DLC like hte Vaulters and Lost Symphony (I could be wrong)

What tracks do you have in the soundtrack directory

Is the Digital Deluxe DLC enabled in the DLC tab on steam?

I have the same issue as well, only the tracks from the Lost Symphony DLC are in my Soundtrack folder, and both reinstalling the game and verifying the cache doesn't help, even though the Digital Deluxe DLC is enabled in the DLC tab.

As a quick fix there is a way to force steam to download something you own (this is mainly used to download old version of a game)

First in your browser URL bar type:

steam://nav/console

Pressing enter should open steam on the console tab (adding the " -console" launch option to the steam exe should make this be accessible at any time without using a browser)

Then at the bottom of the console enter: (for the Base OST)

download_depot 392110 392114 4972236551733886831

(For the Vaulters Track)

download_depot 392110 392115 5521995595760727378

(For the Lost Symphony Tracks)

download_depot 392110 392116 6770248558723191490

Note: They don't download to the normal place with this method.

Once the download is complete a message in the console should read:

Depot download complete : "%Path it downloaded to%"

The default path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_392110\

Using this method downloads the Vaulters Track, but not the base OST or the Lost Symphony tracks, which means I'm still missing the base OST. For both, it says "Depot download failed : missing license for depots 2724148".

That may have been my fault I put the Build ID where the Depot ID should be (But I did the Vaulter Track right somehow)
I've edited the post, try again now with the new lines, Post again if it’s still not working.

I tried the console command, and I was able to download the Vaulters and Lost Symphany music, but it said I don't have a license for the base game, which is bogus because I own the Digiital Deluxe Edition...

It may be an issue with the package you own, this can get fixed if the packageID is known.

In the same console as before type:

licenses_for_app 392110

Please post the lines it should then print out here.

The First one (221692) Is the Free Weekend (which is why it's state is inactive)

The Second one is Endless Space 2 Collection, which had the Digital Deluxe Upgrade after all the other DLC but did not get the Base Soundtrack deport added.

I'll message the Dev team about it and hopefully it will get fixed on Monday (but it is holiday time at the studio so no guarantees)

The soundtrack should now be present in the appropriate packages.

Now surround sound is broken in steam music list (at least for me).

Files:

1) Endless Space 2 Soundtrack (Sourround) music files don't start and list ends with track 35.

2) Surround is playing music files (1-42) but it's stereo - only

Wanna have back my surround sound files, asap!

Edit: I did find local saved files of surround sound. Obviously I did right this case. Thanks god, I was that foresighted. Forget about asap (at least in my case)!

Edit edit: Ingame surround files seem untouched.
