Trying to get a game started, we constantly get stuck on "Waiting for game data"

We never had an issue in the numerous games before. We managed to get one started by deleting Registry.XML, but it crashed on the 2nd turn resolution. The only dump file I have is here:

The only DLC I own which he does not own is the Deluxe Edition content.

I had a single event which was an app crash earlier in the day.

Any help would be appreciated. We have been trying to get a match started for the past 5 hours or more.

Issue resolved.

Friend had 2 systems with Steam Client open. Once he closed Steam on his laptop, we were able to start a fresh game and play all night without a hitch.
