Hello, I'm having problems with the game, it's stuttering as hell, even in the main menu. The framerate is really really low. Like a movie at 0.25 speed ;)

I have an I7 3820, GTX 1070, 16GB Ram, WIN 7 64, and I've never had problems with the game . I've just bought the Penumbra DLC and wanted to get back to it, but hell no, it's unplayable.

I'm not using any mods.

I have updated the video and audio drivers, tried every single combination of DLCs. Every single combination of video settings. VSync On, VSync Off, VSync Off with nvidia sync on, and so on. Running 436.30 nvidia drivers. Windows is uptodate. I tried to turn off antivirus. Reinstalled the game multiple times and removed all its traces manually, and maniacally.

Nothing. It used to work like a charm the last time I played it, which is around the time Penumbra was released.

Endless Legend plays like a charm. Warhammer 2 Total War plays like a charm. But Endless Space 2 decided to leave me out. I'm dying to play Awakening but as it is I really can't buy it.

Really. I don't know what else I can do.

Sorry to hear that! I have a rig way less powerful than yours, and it works like a charm here.

I did try a few things in the nvidia-panel. 

Triple buffering = on

Vsync = on

Make sure vsynch is disabled in the game.

Don't think it will work, but who knows.

Well, what happens when you disable penumbra? =P

Of course not. 

I have every DLC and it works just fine. It must be something else.

OMG its actually fully fixed now that i updated from windows v1803 to v1903 

The game finally feels snapy and responsive! After spending many hours every other month since June, trying different ways, cleaning drivers with ddu, reinstalling different drivers, trying different monitors, who the hell woulda guessed it was damn windows drivers....as Groo suggested! I did try checking windows update as groo suggested last week, but i only got the option to update to v1903 today for some reason.

If anyone else is finding the game sluggish, check out updating windows first, hopfully it will save you the trouble.
