[PC] Save freezes every time at start of Turn 74, have tried everything

Hey all, thanks in advance for any help you can offer. Every time I reach the start of Turn 74, I'm no longer able to move ships, build anything, etc. I've been through the forums and Steam page and see that many, many people have had the same issue - have virtually worn myself out trying all the proposed fixes.DxDiag.txt


Been loving the game but have been pretty bummed that I haven't been able to get past what seems like a corrupted save or deeper issue with the game's processes. For reference, here are things I've already tried:


1. Updating Windows, NVIDIA drivers, audio/video codecs, verifying game files

2. Going back to a previous autosave and playing forward

3. Closing all pop ups, including greyed out ones. Using the debug mode to close all pop ups and notifications for all AI factions.

4. Using debug mode to reset AI.

5. Starting in Windows 7 compatibility, admin mode, etc. Disabled all anti-virus protection, checked permissions for Documents and other folders, disabled OneDrive, etc.

6. Editing and fixing NVIDIA settings including adding the game.

It's failing to find assests. Try validating your steam install.

I've seen this before though, this usually isn't caused by missing files, though that's still a good first step.
