The Example Re-skin mod does not actually replace ship textures like it should So I don't know if its currently possible or if we just haven't figured it out yet.

But they are the craver skins extracted from the game files, they should just overwrite the current ones when mod is loaded no?

You have to tell the game, what texture file is replacing what vanilla texture. it's not set to check names and match them up.

The issue is the example provided in the ExampleReskin mod is not working so we don't know how the system for ship re-skinning works yet
