Hi,

I am looking for the icon that is used for Cold Planets.

I have looked through the assets (using an Asset Extractor) and also tried the export in the mod menu. I have not found it, maybe because I was unable to open the main asset file because it was too big.

According to the GuiElements[PlanetGameplayTypes].xml is located at

Bitmaps/Atlased/PlanetGameplayTypes/PlanetGameplayTypeCold

Can anyone help me and provide the file or help me locate it in the asset files?

If you have extracted the assets with a third-party extractor I can't guarantee it'll be here but try looking under Assets\Resources\Bitmaps\Atlased\PlanetGameplayTypes :)

So far I have not succeeded in extracting the assets. I have found one promising third party tool, but got an error when trying to open the file ressources.assets. Is this the correct file?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What do you need it for, if you don't mind my asking? If you want to use in a mod you can just use it in a GuiElement or something :)

You can also find a similar-looking icon "DiplomaticAbilitiesColdWarSmall.png' under Assets\Resources\Bitmaps\Atlased\Diplomacy

Other than that I'm not an expert on the subject of assets and version building, so I am not able to tell you whether ressources.assets is the right file.

I've extracted the icons for you but they are small only 24x24

I am working on a mod with new planet types and would like the new icons to fit the original ones. I will post the new icons when I am happy with them :-)

Thank you very much, this is exactly what I was looking for.

You may want to look at the Community Mod Project, Where I have added 4 new planet types & 2 New planet tags (so you can look in the code & see how it's done)

It's not fully working in the current version but I plan to update it in the next few days.
