In the hero interface of the game, we can see that the hero is shown in the form of animation. However, in the mod I made by myself, I tried to use GIF images, but it was not shown as animation in the game, only a blank.

So, how do you make the hero look like an animated character instead of just a picture?

The Heros Are actually 3d models with textures applied overtop. The models are just halfs. Here these are the games textures for a character and the model for example. Then there are a series of different animation for different responses. As for how to mod it; I dont know anything about modding, but from my understanding it is currently not possible.
