I wonder why picked faction color is reflected only on your planet's influence area and ship holograms, but it doesn't change faction leader's colors or actual ship model(both regular & heroes) colors, like it is in Endless Legend for example, and I wonder if this can be fixed in some way, like with a mod or something in settings? 

I know that there were multiple mods that just recolor in-game models and replace them, like make Hero ships black with gold attire, or change Behemoth's color to gray, but that's not quite what I'm looking for.
