Hello! I hope I'm posting this in the right place. 

I'd like to make a mod that replaces one set of ship designs with another.Specifically,  I want to replace the Sophon ships with the Sophon ships from Endless Space 1. Is that even possible? I own both games, but I don't know where I'd find the meshes and textures... among other things.

I hope it's possible, but I haven't a clue as to how I'd do it. Can anyone tell me if it's doable and such? Thanks! :)

We have no control over ship meshes sadly, only the texture. You can find the textures by hovering over the mods icon, and hitting asset export in the main menu.

If you want to replace ship meshes, you need to go through the unity assets with something like UABE and replace the ship models with the ES1 ones, it'll definitely not be workshop compatible, and lots of things will break since the ship models have lots of stuff like module slots programmed into them

Aw, that's too bad! But taking a closer look at the ships in 2, they're still pretty dang cool so I'm not too bummed. Thanks for the helpful answer!
