My new Primary Trait mod does not stick

I'm just starting modding ES2, wanted to start with something simple.


Trying to create primary trait, like "Adept Workers" from Riftborn, just with bigger values.
I've followed this ExampleTrait mod, looked in original game files and StarterPack examples.
Managed to make my mod not crash the game (an achievement). 


My modification appears when creating custom race, you can select it as primary trait - but when you save the race - it does not stick. If you open up the race editor again - primary trait is set to None, if you start a game with the new race - it does not apply the effect.

What am I doing wrong?

As best as I can tell, the issue is that your PopulationModifiersTrait[AdeptWorkersXTrait].xml is not loading. This is either because it has an error, or because your AdeptWorkersXTraits.xml file is not configured properly.

While I could not find why my mod was not working properly - I completely remade my mod by shamelessly dissecting and butchering your mod, and it now works as expected :) Thanks
