Hi,

Just after playing ES2 a bit, during EA, I discovered that sometimes you want to get rid of unwanted population. Examples are Cravers that are depleting you planets or people that appears is not Horatio and makes your system ugly.

For sure there's people who will be glad to receive some help in ways of "accompanying these people out of your systems".

Suggestion A - Chain gang : You can chain gang the population if your manpower capacity is not reached. The way chain gang works is quite similar with population growth. So, when an unwanted pop is displayed as a next pop growth, use chain gang.

+ If you have a system with 1-2 planets, use it as a prison system. Send all the unwanted pops to the prison system and constantly use the chain gang there.

Suggestion B - Indefinite Waiting : The population in spaceport without any valid destination will indefinitely wait in spaceport. So, you can keep some pops in spaceport without killing them.

Suggestion C - Privateers : Privateers can attack your civilian ships. So, send all the unwanted pops to the system which is full of population (moving one pop to spaceport will allow you to choose that system as a destination & sending civilian ships) and make those civilian ships to wait in orbit (as the system is already full). Then, shoot down all those civilian ships with privateers.

Suggestion D - Sell them to Unfallen : Selling a system to Unfallen will instantly decolonize the system. So, gather all the pops you want to remove and sell a system to unfallen. (can be used even when you are not 100% owner of the system)

1-Colonise a new planet near a ennemy's planet

2-Declare war to your new neighbor

3-Send unwanted population to your new colony

4-See your poor civil ship being destroyed while trying to reach your colony

You can also perform this without declare war :)

I do that when play RIftborn, why use any other faction when yours is so darn op :D
1) One way level up system, get 3 pods, wait till one planet is full and start sending all unwanted pops there, while they are gone try to feed population you want to grow with luxury (to increase speed of pop generation and chance of it generating).
2) Colonize new planet send all unwanted pops there and then repeat step 1.
Have to say tho, micromanaging population is really important if you play cravers, united empire, unfallen and sophons. Cravers being the most important.
3) Play Vodyani :D but you will get new problem instead of old which is called Essence of Life.

apart of other ways you may use the mod "populace control" which make population management more logical and not so madly devouring time.

This mod is availible on steam. I do not understand why the features of this mod not included in ES2.

Or at least any other reasonable population managment features, because it is really time consuming and boring part of the game from my point of view.

I would rather pay for this, than for the next expansion with a new race.
