The game has failed to start. If this issue occurs again, please go to games2gether to report a bug. Include your diagnostic files if possible(a Guide is avaible on the forum).
I just downloaded all the free updates and finished downloading every purchased add-on required for the game as to being I really liked the game and now I am having this issue
Maybe try starting it in Administrator Mode? Sometimes it helps.
There might also be the case that your firewall is blocking it.
There are many more possiblites like missing or corrupted program on your part or an installation that somehow got corrupted - then I advise to verify game files integrity or even do a full clean reinstall. It happens from time to time to various games.

You might have corrupted files reinstalling will not remove them you need to delete it manually. If your using Windows this is what you do. Go to This PC then click on C: drive >program files (x86) >steam folder >steam apps folder >common folder right click the endless space 2 folder and delete it. After that reinstall and see if it works.
