Playing as a minor faction

Hi! To selebrate the upcoming Minor Faction Content Pack, let me share this idea on how to implement Playing as a minor faction.

1) The main idea is that you can choose a trait which replaces your main population with the chosen minor faction population.  All the attributes and the name of this minor faction are replaced by  whatever you choose for your main faction.

2) The main  faction quests are replaced by random common quests (I would actually  like to see this option for any custom faction).

3) The initial star system is random.

4) The Relevant minor faction's ship designs are used for your faction.

5) Research descriptions contain no reference to a specific major faction  (I want to see this as an option for any custom faction).

6) Starting hero is the one of your minor faction.

7) Your starting hero's portrait and/or an abstract image are used for diplomacy.

The items 2 and 5 are actually crucial for any custom faction that is meant to be distinct from the classic major factions.

The main focus of this idea is on the item #1. If it is implemented, you will be able at least to roleplay a foreign governor of a minor faction even without the rest of the list, however for a full immersion, it is not enough.
