Hello I finally decided to put in some feedback as these have been big game problems since endless space one and they need sorting out.
1. Your start determines victory.
To explain in planetbound factions there is basically a make or break at the beggining of the game. A system without a fertile planet to support colony growth isn't going to get far at all. And you don't have the tech to colonize sterile anyway. I am currently on my fifth restart after 30 mins of play becuase I've finally figured out that there isn't a single fertile world within my quarter of the galaxy. Or if there is it's a tiny tundra. This is frankly hellish. The game needs to seed the player start locations with at least bare minimum conditions. One or two local systems with fertile worlds or SOMETHING. Because NO ONE likes having to restart and restart and restart and just hope and pray that you get at least an okay start this time.
2. The "Tutorial" still explains very little of how the ingame systems work. I lost quite a few "good starts" Because I didn't understand and therefore mishandled resources like manpower.
Right now I think this is like the 8 or 9th time I've restarted the game trying to get going. I still don't understand half the systems .. I feel like when I make good decisions rng screws me over and when rng doesn't I generally fail to some new mechanic that I don't know wtf it does. I'm sure there's a deep wonderful game here. It just does nothing to explain itself.
