Spread Military Tech to Other Quadrants

I have noticed the tech tree is getting very heavy in the Military Quadrant. Perhaps this could be alleviated by spreading certain offensive and defensive modules to other quadrants. Here are some quick ideas:


1. Move Strategic Resource-based Energy Weapons and Shields to Science Quadrant


and


2. Instead of Projectile vs Energy in the CHOOSE ONE techs, have:

  • Titanium Slugs and Missiles vs Titanium Railguns and Swarm Missiles
  • Adamantium Slugs and Missiles vs Adamantium Railguns and Swarm Missiles
  • Orichalcix Slugs and Missiles vs Orichalcix Railguns and Swarm Missiles

3. Move Battle Cards to Empire Development Quadrant


4. Move Energy Enhancer Modules to Sciene Quadrant


5. Move Armored and Air Manpower upgrades to Empire Management Quadrant

  • Armored Manpower Tier II Unlock Reward
  • Air Manpower Tier IV Unlock Reward

6. Move Empire Manpower Capacity boosters to Empire Development Quadrant as Tier Unlock Rewards


7. Move Squadron Tech to Empire Development Quadrant and couple with Med-Size and Carrier Ships

  • Move Lensers and Jammers to be coupled with Med-Size Ship Upgrades
  • Move Basic Fighters and Bombers to be coupled with Med-Size Attack Ships
  • Move Basic P-Fighters and P-Bombers to be coupled with Med-Size Support Ship
  • Move Advanced Fighter and P-Fighter to be coupled with Carrier Ship
  • Move Advanced Bomber and P-Bomber to be coupled with Carrier Ship Upgrade


These were just some ideas I threw together so feel free to add other suggestions below.

Man, instead of proposing this kind of idea in a idea sheet in games2gether... you should talk to professional players about the game whit a wide experience in it an reach a conclusion together. This is not the right place to place these kinds of ideas, because you are looking over arguments that contradicts or helps you in your theory, and NOT  upvotes so the devs can look at it. You need arguments and feedback for this idea, and not upvotes.

I could try and help you out whit it: Is the only reason you want to change all these upgrades to these specific positions because you think there is a "clustery" whit upgrades on military branch? for some reason, i believe all branches are kinda balanced. Why changing it? because it is clustered?


I think more reasons would come in handy :)

The devs have already made statements to the effect of military tech being "cluttered"


This idea was just something to inspire possible alternatives to the current iteration.

Well, the ideas section has classically been the place where these ideas are put forth, people talk about them, and they get ironed out. It has to get the attention of those people first. When the Gas Planets were completely reworked in the early days of ES2, it all started with a single idea thread.
