ability to have a plutocratic government?

I think it would be cool if trading companies could have the potential to have a far greater output, but at the same time have the ability to mess with your politics, so if you didn't mind which party was in charge, you could have greatly increased resources from trading companies, but lose some control over your politics. i've been fairly vague because I really enjoy the game, and i'd like you guys to experiment with this, because i'd be very interested to see what you make of this, and if you decide to include it, how you impliment it.
