Often when technologies unlock buildings they appear as options in the building queue (sequence). I find it very hard NOT to build something just because it is available for building (gamification, right?)


Sometimes, however, my game strategy is, say, keeping population low-ish early on (because aggressive exploration allows gaining new population easy) - yet here psychology kicks in and it is difficult NOT to build something, just because the option is there and the only way to make it go away is to build it! 


With ship designs things are straightforward: there is a possibility to remove a ship design from the list. With buildings, there isn't (or at least I was not able to find it). 


I know that this feature might potentially be problematic if, for example, somebody selects it by mistake, or popularity drops lowers all values, making it necessary to reconsider building "dropped" building options, but I think that an option to "X" something from the construction list would be helpful for some players.
